Mighty to Save - The mellow version

Was introduced this song at the Passion Conference in Malaysia some time in the middle of 2008. When the band started playing the intro for this song, the crowd went crazy. Only HS and I didn't seem to know why. But, we learnt it on the spot, and it's a beautiful song.

I thought it was a Passion/ Chris Tomlin song. But only found out later that it's a Hillsong song.

The original version by Ben Fielding is quite rock...as in alot of electric guitar. But, it's very energetic and mighty.

However, I don't think it would be that congregation friendly, also, very stressed on the musicians to be playing 16-beats. So, I search high and low for a mellow version.

Found this by this guy Jeff Johnson. I don't really like the way he tune the song....but I like the acoustic music, and his voice is pretty good. Click Here to View/ Listen.

I think it may become a Song of the Year type of song. Everyone's singing it. Micheal W Smith has included it in his latest album - A New Hallelujah. Don Moen has also included it in his album - I believe there is more . It's big!
